Thank you for making me feel so comfortable during my maternity photo shoot. Although you never feel you look your best during your pregnancy, you made me feel beautiful and lighted the photos perfectly to accent my best features. I was pregnant with my third child when I finally decided to have some photos taken to remember the experience. I am somewhat modest and never thought that I would be comfortable doing this. I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. Jessie is so gentle and relaxed that I immediately felt at ease. She presented an entire range of possibilities and I could choose what I was most comfortable with. The pictures in the beautiful keepsake proof book reflect how happy and comfortable my family felt. I am so glad that I did this!

I recently took some family portraits at a big studio. The person taking our pictures reminded me more of a wedding DJ than a photographer. It was crazy and a bit uncomfortable. I was interested in an experience that was a bit more personal. I was so happy with my experience with Jessie. Her studio is very professional and at the same time, very private. I would never have taken personal pregnancy photos in a big studio. I know that I would have looked stiff and awkward. Jessie is a very easy person to talk to and she is a mother of young children. She would never be surprised by a stretch mark or puffy ankles. These are pictures that I feel only a woman can do. Her thoughtfulness really shows through her photos.

I really debated having maternity photos taken during my second pregnancy. I am not a tall, slim, “oh, it looks like you just have a basketball tummy” kind of a pregnant woman, so taking photos was not too appealing at first. I never had professional photos during my first pregnancy, but now that I “took the plunge” and had the maternity shots done, I regret not doing it the first time as well.

I decided to do the maternity shots because I believed it would be a wonderful way for my husband and I to remember this very special time, and probably more importantly, for my children to see how much we treasured that special time. My very favorite shots were the ones with all four of us “accounted for”, my belly, my husband’s hand and my three year-old daughter’s adorable face, which showed just how proud she was to become a big sister soon.

Knowing that I was a little apprehensive, Jes listened to my requests and concerns. She captured exactly what I was looking for and did not push me out of my comfort zone. I am so grateful to have had such a positive experience and now have beautiful mementos to keep and share. Hopefully, I’ll return some day should we be blessed with another little miracle.

I have to say that I was not a fan of having my HUGE belly exposed for pictures, but was encouraged by a friend to do so. When I found the website I fell in love with the pictures of the pregnant woman. They looked beautiful. So when I called and spoke to Jes I felt like I was talking with a Girlfriend NOT a complete stranger. That is when I KNEW Jes was the one to take my pictures. The night of the shoot I was so nervous seeing that I was exposing my HUGE belly (Yes I had twins) and Jes made me feel so at ease. We had so much fun I had forgotten that she was taking pictures. When I got the proof book, I was shocked to see that EVERY picture was wonderful. I had so many pictures to choose it was so hard to pick only a few. But I would prefer that I have so many pictures to choose and not only a few.
I would recommend having maternity pictures taken, but I would highly recommend that you have then taken by Jes. She will make sure to capture the beauty in your pregnancy. I have recommended her to my close friends and will continue to do so.
